Installing on a Network

The easiest way to install A-Shell on a network is to just repeat the “Compact” installation procedure on each workstation, in each case specifying the same target installation directory on the server. The only point of actually going through the installation process on each workstation is to install the MIAME fonts and a couple of common DLLs (ctl3d32.dll and netapi.dll) on the workstation, and to set up a shortcut. Each of these can steps can be done manually if you prefer. In fact, you can do without the MIAME fonts and use one the standard Windows fixed pitch fonts (e.g. New Courier, Lucida Console, Andale Mono) instead; see Configuration for more information about fonts.)
