4 potatoes peel or not, don't cook one small onion (optional) 1 tsp salt 1. grate potatoes, mince onion 2. put in colander, push out some moisture by pressing with paper towel 3. put in bowl, add salt and onion 4. heat oil in skillet 5. drop pancake-sized potato clump into oil, flatten out 6. cook for 3 or 4 min, until brown, then turn.
