All A-Shell documentation is published in the form of standard Windows help files. For on-screen access, these are the best format that we know of, and are considerably more usable than PDF. These are actually compiled and compressed files using Microsoft's long-established standard for help files. They have an extension of CHM.
The files are also available, on request, in Microsoft Word and possibly in PDF.
True on-line versions of documents, where each topic is served from a web site as requested, have been made available in the past. They have not been popular, however, and have therefore been discontinued. The on-line versions are not as slick and convenient as the CHM files, but they offer one huge benefit: no updating required. If you are interested in on-line versions of the docs and think you would use them, please let us know. Generating and maintaining such copies is not a big deal.
