Jack and I were talking about development/release notes, which we normally abbreviate to ourselves as "AshDevNotes," and I realized that I don't know if anybody actually reads them. So just to make sure that you CAN read them if you're interested, I want to mention where they are.

We have two copies:

1. Jack writes the original notes in simple text form and posts them here: http://www.microsabio.net/dist/65dev/ash65notes.txt

2. Usually within a few hours or a day, I take those notes and:

a. Turn them into a formatted, structured HTML document which you can see here: http://www.microsabio.net/dist/65dev/doc/a65devnotes/00ashnotes.htm

b. Use the notes to update the A-Shell Reference, if and as needed.

We encourage anybody and everybody who is interested to keep an eye on the notes, or at least review them once in a while. You never know when you might stumble across some new feature or option that makes your life easier or offers some cool new function you'd like to use. In general, even though it lags the text file a little, the HTML version would be recommended by virtue of being more "visually organized."

If you want to be notified whenever there's an update, do an internet search for "monitor web pages" or equivalent. There are a bunch of free services out there that will send you an email message whenever your target page changes. I use "Wachete."

As always with anything having to do with documentation, feedback is welcome and appreciated. If you're a regular reader of the Dev Notes, it would be nice for us to know that.

Not addicted but paruse them every so often...

Ever consider a listserv option? So that when you publish a new update it can automatically be pushed out to the list?

Can't speak for anyone else, but i would read them every time they hit my inbox if this were an option.
