# exitcode > [HTML Version](exitcodextext.htm) The _exitcode_ parameter serves the same function as the corresponding parameter of the same name in routines such as [INFLD](infld.htm.md) and [XTREE](xtree_sbr.htm.md), i.e. it returns a code indicating how the control was exited, as summarized in following table.
