# MX\_MALLOCLIMIT

**xcall MIAMEX, MX\_MALLOCLIMIT, op, limit**

MX\_MALLOCLIMIT (MIAMEX 185) provides a programmatic way to query and/or set the [MALLOCLIMIT](malloclimit_sp.htm.md) set in miame.ini, which see for more details.

**Parameters**

_op  _([Num](num.htm.md))  \[in\]

0 to get the limit and 1 to set it 

_limit  _([Unsigned Int](integer-unsigned.htm.md))  \[out\]

returns the current limit (op=0) or supplies the new limit (op=1). Units are bytes—not kilo-, mega-, or giga-bytes. Maximum practical limit is 2GB-1 (2147483647).
