# SETTEXTALIGN

**//SETTEXTALIGN, flags**
SETTEXTALIGN determines way text is aligned within the character cell grid. The default is the upper left corner of the character cell, meaning that //TEXTOUT,x,y text will print the text below and to the right of the position x,y. Add together the applicable options, one for each coordinate, from the table below. | TA\_RIGHT | 2 | x coordinate aligns with right side of character cell. |

| **Vertical Alignment** | |
| TA\_TOP | 0 | y coordinate aligns with top of character cell. (Default) |
| TA\_BOTTOM | 8 | y coordinate aligns with bottom of character cell. |
| TA\_BASELINE | 24 | y coordinate aligns with character baseline. |
