# Winstyle
> [HTML Version](winstyle.htm)
This parameter may be used to specify additional style options relating to the window wrapper for the control, as well as options specific to the calendar:
| **Option** | **Value** | **Description** |
|------|------|------|
| MCS\_DAYSTATE | \&h0000001 | Enable day state highlighting; see next topic |
| MCS\_MULTISELECT | \&h0000002 | (not yet supported) |
| MCS\_WEEKNUMBERS | \&h0000004 | Show week numbers in calendar. |
| MCS\_NOTODAYCIRCLE | \&h0000008 | Don't circle today's date |
| MCS\_NOTODAY | \&h0000010 | Don't show today's date at bottom of calendar. |
| MCS\_NOTRAILINGDATES | \&h0000040 | Disable display of dates in prev/next month |
| MCS\_SHORTDAYSOFWEEK | \&h0000080 | Display short day names in header |
| MCS\_NOSELCHANGEONNAV | \&h0000100 | Don't change selection when navigating next/prev |
| __ | __ | __ |
| WS\_BORDER | \&h0800000 | Put a thin border around it. |
| WS\_DLGFRAME | \&h0400000 | Put a dialog-style border around it. |
| WS\_CAPTION | \&h0C00000 | Add a title bar; allows dragging. |
| WS\_SYSMENU | \&h0080000 | Add an X button to close calendar. |
| WS\_VSSCROLL | \&h0200000 | Adds a vertical scroll bar to the dialog; see [Dialog Scrolling](dialogscrolling.htm.md). |
WS\_THICKFRAME may be added to the _winstyle_ parameter when creating static controls to give them a raised panel effect. This is the visual reverse of WS\_EX\_CLIENTEDGE. It isn't clear whether any other control types can benefit from this option, but it probably won't hurt to try.
