AlphaPawn User Guide

The initialization routines allocate space on the permanent disk for each file. The files PWNF01.DAT, PWNF13.DAT, and PWNF20.DAT must reside in the MPPN and are created automatically by the system when first logged into the MPPN. These file will never need to be expanded because they contain a fixed number of parameters. When the initialization routine is selected, a list of all primary files will be displayed. Enter the file number to be created, the system will then verify that a disk assignment has been allocated to the file (in the store parameters disk assignments). At this time the routine will ask for the number of records to be allocated. Enter the number and a CR. The routine will then execute and return back to the display screen with a list of all primary files. The routine will automatically create secondary files. After all files have been created, select the counts MAX / USED and execute the counts routine on each file, this will set the maximum records available.
