The A-Shell Programmer's Notepad (APN) is a Windows IDE created expressly for ASB developers, available as a separate package (including compil.exe) since 2014. The compiler is set up via the APN Tools menu, with a command line similar to:
%(APN)\compil.exe -ini c:\vm\miame\miame.ini -x:2 -m -px -w:6000 -lsm -lf -sym -o -so "%d%f"
The -so switch is the most critical and specific to APN, without which it cannot capture the compiler's output to enable the ability to highlight errors in the source.
See the Options & Modules page on the MicroSabio web site for more details, and the A-Shell APN Forum for support and community engagement.
