The counts routine displays and optionally recounts the total records in a particular file. Enter the file number and the software will recount the total records in the selected file. The display also includes the maximum number of pre-allocated records that each file will hold. NOTE, this is not the total disk capacity; this is just the maximum number of records that are currently available for the selected file. The Daily Business menu screen will automatically display an alert when a file is almost full. NOTE, throughout the system on various screens in the upper right corner of the screen is a current file record count. For example:
F09 USED/MAX: 18123 / 24500
This display shows that file number 09, the audit trail file, has 18123 records used out of a maximum of 24500 records. See Appendix E for a complete list of files.
