This pricing routine is used as a "suggested" valuation for precious metals. Once the pricing screen has been set up and the spot prices have been entered, all the operator has to do is to enter a weight of a metal. The screen will display the suggest loan, buy, and sell prices for the metal. When the menu selection is pushed, the cursor will be at the "Enter the Weight:" prompt. Enter the weight of the item and push ENTER. The screen will repaint with prices for the item.
There are three options available at the point where the weight is to be entered. Enter either the weight, a "P" to denote that the pricing tables are to be changed, or a "?" to display. When "P" is entered, the screen will be redisplayed with a title of "PERCENTAGE UP & DOWN FROM SPOT". There are three groups displayed on the screen.
Group 1 spot prices
Group 2 percentages either below or above spot prices of 100% pure metal and the designation for the unit of measurement.
Group 3 percentages computed for the actual content of the item.
Once the percentage tables are entered, then only the Group 1 spot prices will need to be checked and changed on a regular basis.
