This option is for those situations where the status of the wrong loan is changed and the status needs to be set back to an "L", open loan. This can only be done on the same day that the loan was paid, dropped, renewed, or voided. To reset the status to "L" from another status:
1.Inquire for the loan
2.Enter the "L" option to reset the status
3.Reply "Y" to the status question
Sometimes the customers will start to pay off a loan and the decide not to, or the clerk will not get the money first and finds that the customer does not have enough to pay the loan. Typically, when the store is busy, the clerk will read the loan ticket incorrectly and pay the wrong loan. All of these situations can be corrected with this option.
The one case where multiple loans are involved is a renewal. For example, a customer wants to renew a loan, the renewal transaction is processed, with a new loan ticket printed. At that time the customer decides not to renew the loan and walks out of the store. Inquire for the original loan and reset the status to "L". Inquire for the new loan and reset the status to void.
