Bulk items are items are being sold which do not have a serial number and a specific stock number for the item. Some examples are: wrenches, sockets, or albums. When a bulk item is sold the category number for that item would be put in the stock number field. This will bring up in the description field the name of that category. If for instance, a socket was being sold, and 640 is the category for sockets, then enter 640 in the stock number field. This will bring up in the description field the words, "HAND TOOLS". If no
further description is needed, a ENTER would be entered to get the user over to the quantity field where the number of sockets that are being sold would be entered. Then the total price of the sockets, excluding the sales tax would be entered and the sale would be finished as usual. If further information is needed, it can be entered when the screen asks for "Change No.". Enter the line number and use all the fields such as serial number, brand, and model.
